This Sunday at Grace Online Church, we gathered as a spiritual family to worship, pray, and receive a powerful word rooted in expectation, identity, and renewal. The message, “Stepping Forward with Expectation,” reminded us that faith is not about having all the answers—it’s about trusting God one step at a time.
As we begin this new season, God is calling us not to shrink back in fear or exhaustion, but to move forward knowing He is making a way, even in the wilderness.
A Word for This Season: Expectation Without Fear
Throughout the service, we were reminded that expectation can feel difficult—especially when life has been unpredictable or disappointing. Yet Scripture assures us that expectation is not rooted in optimism or circumstances, but in relationship with God.
📖 Isaiah 43:1–2, 7, 19 (NLT) declares:
“Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name; you are mine…
I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
Before God speaks about what He will do, He reminds us who we are.
We are created, redeemed, and called by name. Identity comes before direction—and when identity is settled, fear loses its power.
Renewed and Ready: Faith in the Process
This message emphasized that God doesn’t always remove the wilderness—but He provides what the journey requires. He gives:
- Strength for the next step
- Clarity for the next decision
- Peace to keep moving forward
- Provision exactly when it’s needed
Expectation is not about having everything upfront—it’s about trusting that the supply will meet the demand as we walk in obedience.
As a church, we are also walking through a 10 fast, focusing on prayer, renewal, and spiritual alignment. This intentional season invites us to quiet distractions, strengthen our faith, and boldly believe God for healing, clarity, and breakthrough.
