If you’ve been praying for a miracle, breakthrough and wondering when God will move, this message is for you. In Acts 12, we see the power of earnest prayer as chains fall off, prison doors open, and a miracle stands at the door. Bishop Ernest L. Jackson reminds us that delay is not denial — and God hears you from the first day you pray.
Earnest Prayer Changes Everything
Acts 12:5 (NIV) says:
“So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.”
They didn’t pray casually.
They didn’t pray occasionally.
They prayed earnestly.
And while they were praying, heaven moved.
Chains Fell. Doors Opened.
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared. The chains fell off Peter’s wrists. The iron gate opened by itself.
God responded while they were still praying.
Acts 12:7 (NIV):
“Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.
Acts 12:10 (NIV):
“It opened for them by itself…”
This is the power of persistent, united prayer.
Don’t Miss Your Miracle Because of Doubt
When Peter arrived at the house where believers were praying, they struggled to believe it was really him.
Isn’t that just like us?
We pray for a miracle… and then hesitate when it shows up.
Genesis 18:14 (NIV):
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Delay does not mean denial.
Daniel 10:12 (NIV):
“From the first day… your words were heard.”
God hears you the first day you pray.
Your Breakthrough May Already Be Knocking
Maybe you’re praying for:
- Healing
- Deliverance
- Financial breakthrough
- Restoration in your family
- Direction for your future
The message is clear:
Your miracle may already be at the door.
Don’t stop praying.
Don’t stop believing.
Don’t let doubt block your breakthrough.
